SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Following an 18-point deficit, the Sacramento Kings defeated the Golden State Warriors 123-117 on Wednesday night thanks to 32 points from DeMar DeRozan and 26 points and 18 rebounds from Domantas Sabonis. DeAaron Fox scored 14 points and Malik Monk contributed 20 points and nine assists for Sacramento, which made 30 of 32 free throws. Under interim coach Doug Christie, the Kings have won three straight games overall, seven in a row at home, and are 10-2. For the Warriors, Buddy Hield contributed 17 points and Andrew Wiggins scored 25. With 12 assists and 14 points, Steph Curry finished the game.
In the third quarter, DeRozan tied the game at 85 with 19 points and two free throws. After falling behind 113-111, the Kings went on an 8-0 run, which Fox’ layup with 1:07 to completed. Draymond Green (left calf strain) and Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain) were out for the Warriors. Next week, Green will be reassessed. Warriors: In the first half, 14 out of 26 3-point attempts were made. In the third quarter, the Kings outscored the Warriors 37–20 to tie the score at 85. Keon Ellis’ 3-pointer at 7:45 in the fourth quarter gave the Kings a 100-99 lead after they had fallen behind seven points. In fast-break points, the Kings held a 28-0 advantage.
